Why does facial skin age?
When we are young, every organ of our body, including the facial skin, functions perfectly because they are well-supplied with blood. Lymph flows freely through them, and our muscles are strong and active. Over time, some channels in every organ become blocked, muscles contract and defects accumulate... and because of this, the flow of blood and lymph deteriorates.
The muscles responsible for facial expressions become overgrown with fibrous tissue, becoming weaker and less elastic. And in some places, on the contrary, remain in constant hypertonus, leading to facial feature deformation. Even the skull bones become thinner due to poor blood supply. This is what causes skin aging. It can be compared to a tree whose root system has started to malfunction.
What to do to look younger?
Basically, there are only two ways:
The first way that is usually suggested (which really has nothing to do with rejuvenation!) is injecting of special fillers into the face that will fill wrinkles from the inside and smooth them out...
The effect of these procedures will be clearly visible... but these drug injections further block blood access and lymph drainage. So, special fillers will make wrinkles less visible, but the skin will look dead.
Botox has the same effect. It not only immobilizes the facial muscles but also halts all processes of nourishment and regeneration of the facial skin, accelerating its aging. In other words, all cosmetic methods performed with injections today provide a quick effect, but they cause the skin to age 2-3 times faster than without them.
The second way is to restore the normal functioning of the skin and all facial muscles: improving blood and lymph circulation, restoring innervation of facial muscles, and reducing their hypertonus, eliminating interfascial fibrous adhesions. And, of course, the facial skin needs nourishment and hydration.
